Discover the Ancient TCM Healing

Acupuncture with Guasha is an integrative treatment that marries the precision of acupuncture with the traditional practice of Guasha. This unique approach is particularly effective in enhancing organ function and improving Qi and blood circulation, essential elements for overall health and well-being for many clients in Downtown.

Guasha involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool. This process stimulates microcirculation, releases tension, and alleviates pain. Beneficial for digestive or respiratory relief, and even for releasing “stuck” emotional energy, this therapy focuses on restoring balance. The colours that appear on the skin during Guasha can provide insights for Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment, making each session a step toward a better understanding of your health.

F.A.Q.

Moxa provides a warm, soothing sensation that gently radiates into the body. Most people describe it as a deep, comforting heat that helps muscles relax and eases areas of tension. The warmth is usually very calming rather than intense, and it can feel almost like a gentle warming pack.

Acupuncture with moxa is generally safe when performed by a trained practitioner. We always review your health history first to ensure it’s suitable for you. While most people tolerate it very well, certain situations may require adjustments or precautions, and we will always guide you to keep the experience safe and comfortable.

It’s best to arrive well-rested and have a light meal beforehand. Wear loose, comfortable clothing so areas like your arms and legs can be easily accessed. Try to avoid heavy exercise, alcohol, or caffeine right before your appointment. Most importantly, come a few minutes early so you can relax and discuss your health history and goals with your practitioner.

No referral is needed to book an appointment. You can schedule a session directly at any time, and we’ll review your health history during your first visit.

Some people notice improvements after their first session, such as feeling more relaxed or less tense, while for others it may take a few treatments to experience noticeable changes. Results can vary depending on your condition, how long it’s been present, and your overall health.
