Chao Zhang

Chao Zhang is the 8th-generation inheritor of the Wang Family Medical Lineage, a heritage recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Henan Province. He is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner and acupuncturist in Ontario. He graduated from the Clinical Medicine Department of Zhengzhou University Medical School and has over 30 years of medical experience. In China, he held several key positions, including Department Director, Director of the Clinical Research Center, and Vice President of Zhengzhou Meixin TCM Hospital. For many years, he served as a committee member of the Chinese Sexology Association’s TCM Sexology Division, and he obtained the Chinese Clinical Surgery Professional Physician Practice Certificate in 2006.

From a young age, Chao studied traditional medicine passed down in his family and has fully mastered the essence of the Wang Family Medical Lineage. He specializes in using classical herbal formulas (jingfang), Chinese medicine diagnosis and acupuncture to address a wide range of conditions in internal medicine, gynaecology, and paediatrics — with particular focus on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and digestive concerns; low mood, anxiety, insomnia, and poor sleep quality; constitutional conditioning for cold-type constitutions; sub-health management; and physical recovery after serious illness or surgery.
